Community is a dance between individuals and the community as a whole.
In these workshops you'll learn practices that guide you through the dance.
Here's the flow for each Gathering:
-
'experience the practice' . . . fully
-
bio break + personal reflection time
-
small group sharing
-
guidance on applying the practice
-
handout on the practice to share with others
Does your community struggle to get on the same page?
The problem lies in the fact that each person is simply focused on 'making their case'. Convincing others. As opposed to listening to all points of view so that the group gains a more realistic view of reality. This practice immediately engages people and let's them see all the gifts that are required for a truly co-creative process. When people understand their own gifts and talents, it increases their ability to listen closely to others. They realilze that each person has special insights to share.

Have you ever paid a high price for jumping to a conclusion?
As human beings, we tend to believe that everything that happens to us, is about us. The reality is that many things that happen to us have nothing to do with us at all. Someone 'ignores' us and we begin making up a story about why. And in the worst case scenario, we act upon our unfounded assumption. Making matters worse when we discover the person was simply preoccupied with something else.
